Colleton Garden. A hidden gem in Exeter along the River Exe.
Garden created from 2015 to 2023 by me in Exeter.
The long and winding path I created first in the garden before planting up. Spring 2015.
The Cherry Tree planted the first year of the garden. Still growing strong in summer 2025.
The first Apple tree I bought and planted probably in winter 2016.
Sadly where this stump rests used to grow a great old Pear Tree it fruited very well except the last year I spent there. Sadly when I revisited the garden in August 25 I noticed it had been cut down. It was developing a disease I remember back then.
Michelmas Daisy’s; Raspberries; Sea Grass Type plant etc. everything mixed together to create- a “Suburbanian Jungle Planting Style” a cooling effect to obliverate the suppressing effect of mass concrete that city’s suffer from. In the modern times of today.
The white Rose at the end of each summer I remember pruning it right down and the following year it grew back better and stronger.
The old wall with the White climbing Rose Beautiful in the summertime
The Sun Filtering through the long winding path of the Garden I created.Started in 2015 and sadly I had to leave it in 2023 as someone not so nice took over the running of the building and the grounds. Eight years in the making. Maybe some day I might go back to care for it again.
